Disney india to Launch New Kid’s TV Channel Super Hungama on March 1st , 2022

Disney India has revealed plans for a rebranding of one of its existing children’s TV channels and the launch of a new kids’ TV channel called “Super Hungama,” formerly known as “Marvel HQ,” set to go live on March 1, 2022. Originally slated for a launch on December 11, 2021, the debut of “Super Hungama” was postponed by officials.

Kevin Vaz, Head of Network Entertainment Channels at Disney Star, expressed, “As Disney, we have always enjoyed great affinity and loyalty among our fans, emerging as a network that they want to spend the most time with.” He emphasized the channel’s role as a constant companion for kids, with stories and characters that have become integral to their lives.

The channel, since its inception, has embodied the spirit of fun and laughter that characterizes childhood. The rebranding aims to strengthen the channel’s offerings with the introduction of “Super Hungama,” targeting children aged 8-12, inclusive of both boys and girls. The channel aspires to be a friend and ally to kids, providing narratives that are fun, imaginative, and full of energy. It will introduce aspirational and courageous heroes to inspire the young audience.

“Hungama” has been a favorite among kids, capturing the essence of a child’s world with memorable moments filled with friendship, fun, mischief, and laughter. With “Super Hungama,” the channel aims to expand its popularity by celebrating the fun kids have and partnering with them on their adventures.

In terms of programming, “Super Hungama” is set to premiere four new series, including “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command,” “Milo Murphy’s Law,” “Big City Greens,” and “The Daltons.” The channel will also feature acquired anime and other TV series such as Pokémon, Beyblade, Supa Strikas, and more. Promotional videos for the premiere shows of “Super Hungama” are currently being aired on Marvel HQ.
